The Mississippi Valley Blues Society recently announced the lineup for the next Blues Fest, Sept. 16-17, 2022 at LeClaire Park, Davenport.
This two-day event showcases award-winning, traditional and contemporary blues artists to entertain and educate, which includes the annual BluesSkool event on Saturday, Sept. 17.
Blues Fest typically draws an audience of over 2,800 fans from around the area and Midwest and is a major fundraiser for MVBS. In addition, this year’s fest will see an expanded group of food and merchandise vendors, according to a Thursday release.

Short answer – Abby Hornacek, the popular sports presenter, had an eye injury that occurred while she was playing volleyball. The injury completely wiped out vision from her eye, and she underwent double surgery to try and fix it. Unfortunately, this made Abby unfit to continue the sport she loved so much. In order to restore her vision, Abby had to undergo multiple surgeries and now has a prosthetic eye as a result of her injuries.
Do you remember Heather Storm, the beautiful TV star who starred in Garage Squad, a show on cars and mechanics? The blonde beauty caught the eyes of many through her prowess on the wheels and in-depth knowledge of automobiles.
She worked alongside Joe Zolper, a lead mechanic, and Bruno Massel, an NHRA driver, and the trio awed audiences for four years with their ability to get cars, which had been written off by their owners, back on track.

The luxurious estate where Naomi Judd lived at the time of her death is up for rent, and pictures show a property that's fit for a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Judd's 4-bedroom, 6-bathroom, 7,774-square-foot home in the affluent rural community of Leiper's Fork outside of Nashville first went up for rent in September of 2023, nearly 18 months after she died by suicide in the upstairs bedroom. The estate is now back on the rental market with a new listing, asking $15,000 per month for the lavish residence.
