Zelda Williams is getting candid about how she’s coped with her father Robin Williams‘ death — and revealed she took things day-by-day immediately after the star’s tragic 2014 suicide.
“I just kept going, ‘OK, well today I’m going to wake up and love what I do. And then tomorrow I’m going to wake up and be happy and love what I do. And then the next day.’ Because that’s all you can do,” the 27-year-old actress said during a recent appearance on Chelsea Handler‘s new Netflix talk show, Chelsea.

Zelda admitted she felt most comfortable being alone following Robin’s death on Aug. 11, 2014 and thus spent a tremendous amount of time by herself. “But then also you’re like, ‘Is there something wrong with me?'” she joked.
“I didn’t see daylight for awhile. So now I’m doing a lot more of that. I’ve been working really hard and it’s been nice because you get to not sit with yourself for too long,” she added, according to People.
